Nancy Hofer Textile Designer

When in college pursuing my fine arts degree, I always loved the tactile nature of the oil paints on the canvas. The fascination carries on today as I incorporate traditional painting with computer techniques to produce my work.

These designs suggest a handmade quality reflecting my influences:

• Nature's color and beauty.
  
• Traditional craftsmanship: tile work, marquetry, ikat.
  
• Today's modern sensibility to preserve the environment, while incorporating natural elements.
  

Background:
      Artist, designer, colorist in home furnishings and menswear. Designer for both textiles and  products for bedding and other home accessories for major retailers.  Experienced at trend research and product development.
